Bristol

What an opening night. Thanks to everyone who came and got down. Bristol has always been kind to us in our sporadic visits and last night was no exception. It’s the nearest thing to a hometown show on this run of dates, and you made us feel more than at home. Hopefully the rest of the country is as kinda as that.

Blitz Kids, Save Your Breath and Francesqa all played stellar (and very different) sets and I think the bill is really exciting and a testament to the strength and diversity of British bands right now. Everyone seemed to enjoy them, which is the most important thing.

If any of you guys have any videos or photos from these shows, hit me up with some links and I’ll reblog them. This includes photos of you in your UV or just kicking it with your friends in the queue or in the crowd. Loads of people came painted last night and it was pretty awesome.

We’re in Norwich tonight. It’s been beautiful all day. I’ve seen people playing Laire, (a la Role Models) with no apparent hint of irony and a singing group, perched on some steps, spitting a Glee version of 99 Problems. Cray-Z. Everybody seems to be in fine spirits, so I’m hopeful for another blinding night. And that’s the end of this brief and uninspired blog entry.
