Nagoya
Holy shit. Ho. Lee. Shiiiiiit. Last nights show was so ridiculously fantastic that I’m still on a high. I love how playing special shows feels. I don’t think we’ve ever played to a crowd that was so up for it and they had no clue who we even were. Now they do. They even made up some backing vocals to Saturday.
I’m lying in bed at the hotel. This is our first time here...

Osaka
The show was amazing and probably the best reaction we’ve ever had here. I spent most of Zebrahead’s set onstage, drinking at their Hawaiian bar. This got me supremely drunk. My band, suitably oiled, then got into one of our sprawling discussions about, well, ourselves. Discussing iur highs, lows and what to do nexts with the candour of a lush. Osaka
I’m in Osaka in Japan, a place, oddly enough, that I’ve spent more time in than I have a lot of places back home.
I spent most of yesterday in a delirious, sleepless stupor after being awake for about 50 hours, went for a nap at 430pm and woke up, bright as a button today at 4am.

After, I guess, a decade of cheating my way around Photoshop - without really knowing how to use any of the tools they’ve put on there to make life easy for people like me - I’m trying to teach myself how to use Illustrator. Properly. I have a graphics tablet and I’m pretty ok at drawing, so this seems like the next logical step and one I wish I’d stuck around uni to learn...

1. i will design and release clothes under the moniker “toyboy”. i will be designing these myself and printing them myself. i won’t just come up with an idea and send it to someone else for them to draw. i’ve been brainstorming and collecting ideas, designs and concepts for this for around 3 years and i didn’t want to bother doing it unless i knew i could do it...

What an opening night. Thanks to everyone who came and got down. Bristol has always been kind to us in our sporadic visits and last night was no exception. I’ve been awake for the best part of 24 hours. I don’t think i’ll count the intermittent eye closing between 5.30 and 6.30 as sleep. Reason? The usual. Last minute dash to stitch together a new merch run for tour. Sorting out tour production at the last minute.
